La Muela IBI Reduction 2026: Zaragoza Property Tax Cut

The City Council of La Muela has approved a reduction in the Real Estate Tax (IBI) with which the citizens of this Zaragoza town will notice a reduction in the receipt for this tax of the 7.69% in 2026.

This reduction occurs as a result of the approval of the new Tax Ordinance number 5, regulating the IBI, with a decrease in the tax rate applicable to real estate of an urban nature of the 0,65% al 0,60%which will mean a decrease of more than 7% for the citizen for the next year.

With this reduction, the La Muela City Council is making progress in lowering this tax. In 2014, the IBI tax was 0.935%, while now it will be 0.6%. This entails a 35.82% decreaseso that a home that paid 300 euros for the IBI in 2013 will now pay 192.51 euros, in 2026.

As explained by the mayor of La Muela, Adrián Tello, the objective with this reduction in the IBI receipt is “relieve the economy of Muela families“, especially within a context of “increasing costs of basic and essential products, which seems to have no end in recent years.”

The La Muela City Council continues with this new ordinance with the tax burden reduction for the families of this town. In addition to the previous reductions in the IBI, recently, also approved a reduction in the IBI tax rate for the installation of solar panels in homes through a 50% bonus of the full tax rate on buildings whose cadastral use is predominantly thermal or electrical energy from the sun.
