The Head of the North Hulu Sungai District Civil and State Administration (Datun) Head, Taruna Fariadi (TAR), ran away and hit a KPK officer with a car when he was about to be arrested in a sting operation (OTT). The Corruption Eradication Commission revealed the condition of its officers after being hit by suspect Taruna Fariadi.
“Thank God, the condition is good, safe, spared,” said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to journalists, Sunday (21/12/2025).
Budi cannot confirm whether Taruna Fariadi is on the wanted list (DPO). Budi emphasized that his party was still pursuing him.

“If there is any development, we will update the information,” he said.
Cadet Fariadi is known to have fled when KPK officers wanted to arrest him during the OTT. In fact, the cadet even resisted and hit an officer when he wanted to be arrested.
“That is true (hitting the officer). At that time, according to the report from our officers who carried out the arrest of the suspect, he put up a fight and ran away, so that currently a search effort is being carried out for the person concerned,” said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the Corruption Eradication Commission, Asep Guntur Rahayu during a press conference at the Corruption Eradication Committee building, South Jakarta, Saturday (20/12).
Asep said he would immediately issue a DPO against the cadets if the ongoing search did not produce results. He also said that he had coordinated with the family and the Prosecutor’s Office in searching for Taruna.
“We convey that the person concerned is expected to immediately surrender or come to us to follow the legal process as appropriate,” said Asep.
“We are coordinating with the person concerned as well as with his family. We are looking for his family. Usually when he runs away or leaves, it is his acquaintances, his family, something like that,” he concluded.
