The 4-1 win against Atalanta Bergamo not only pushed FC Bayern into the quarter-finals of the Champions League. He also impressively underlined the current excellent promotion of young talent in Munich.
Veterans Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich are missing with muscle injuries. Jonas Urbig suffered a concussion in the 6-1 gala first leg win against Atalanta Bergamo. For a long time it was unclear whether he would have enough to play in the second leg – and so a debut for one of the two young goalkeepers Jannis Bärtl (19) or Leonard Prescot (16) in the FC Bayern goal did not seem unlikely.
