This Paperwhite 2024 brings improvements that are certainly measured, but which can potentially have a significant impact on use. The fifth generation Kindle Paperwhite (2021) remained a very good model, even three years after its release. Amazon, however, manages to further improve it on points as fundamental for an e-reader as screen rendering and responsiveness. The new features present on the Kindle Paperwhite 2024 are certainly not flashy on paper, but nothing more was needed to significantly increase reading comfort. Unlike competing models which multiply the functionalities, this one however remains focused on the sole use of reading. But this e-reader does its job perfectly. If you can afford the sixty euros extra cost compared to a more basic e-reader such as the Kindle 2024, you will not regret it as this Paperwhite 2024 is positioned as the essential mid-range reference.

Without revolutionizing anything, the Amazon Kindle 2024 stands out as a balanced entry-level e-reader, offering a pleasant reading experience in a compact and lightweight format. The improvements made are certainly minimal, but they help to further improve a product that is already very good at what it does. Because this device focuses almost exclusively on reading books, which is not a bad thing for an e-reader… If you are looking for an entry-level model with more features or color, you will have to look elsewhere. However, opponents that meet these criteria are offered at significantly higher prices, which puts them in competition with the formidable Kindle Paperwhite 2024.
