The People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa Province has just published a plan to implement the Cultural Industries Development Strategy until 2030, with a vision for 2045, in which it identifies the entertainment industry associated with cultural heritage as an innovative direction, gradually constituting a new growth engine for the region.

A strategic change aimed at increasing the economic value derived from cultural resources.

In line with the plan, Khanh Hoa is restructuring its development model by placing the cultural and entertainment industry at the forefront, with tourism remaining a pillar, while creative industries and digital cultural industries provide the foundation for growth. This is a strategic shift aimed at increasing the economic value of cultural resources, instead of relying primarily on the exploitation of natural resources.

The cultural and entertainment industry plays a leading role, tourism remains a pillar, while the creative industries and digital cultural industries provide the basis for growth.

By 2030, Khanh Hoa province aims to develop 3 to 5 distinctive cultural products and brands of national and international significance, and to build at least one creative space and cultural industries complex bearing the Khanh Hoa brand. Revenue from performing arts is expected to reach around VND8 billion per year, cultural tourism revenue is expected to account for 10 percent of total tourism revenue, and the growth rate of cultural industries exports is expected to average 7 percent per year.

The integration of the entertainment sector into the development structure not only expands the economic space, but also improves the quality of tourist experiences, promoting the creation of cultural and entertainment products with high added value and unique local characteristics.
