Classical Music Takes Center Stage

Prepare for an evening of profound musical exploration as the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra (LNSO),led by conductor Andris Poga,graces the Cesis Concert Hall on Saturday,March 29th. The performance will feature German baritone ludwig Mitelhammer, lending his vocal prowess too Johannes Brahms’ and Detlev Glanert’s Four Preludes and Serious Songs.

Contemporary German composer Detlev Glanert has masterfully orchestrated Brahms’ Four Serious songs, creating a seamless and continuous score.Glanert’s work adds preludes to each song and a concluding postlude, promising an experience brimming wiht freedom and emotional depth. The concert will culminate in Gustav Mahler‘s poignant Ninth Symphony, a reflection on life and mortality.

The narrative follows Sent-Ecziper’s search for his friend and fellow pilot, Henri Gijome (Vensan Casel), who has crashed in the Andes Mountains.
