From October 31 to November 1, one of the biggest international swimming competitions of the year – “Rīgas Sprints 2025” – took place in RTU Ķipsala swimming pool in Riga.
This year “Rīgas Sprints” gathered a record number of participants – 420 swimmers from Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Italy, Egypt and Ukraine took part in the competition. Jurmala Sports School was represented in the competition by 39 participants.

Medals were won in the competition by:
Dmitrijs Tolstykh – 1st place (gold) in 100 m butterfly; 2nd place (silver) in 50 m butterfly; 3rd place (bronze) in 50 m freestyle. Dmitrijs broke his own Jurmala records in the 50 m and 100 m butterfly distances, as well as a 7-year-old Jurmala record in the 50 m freestyle. He entered the TOP 6 list of the most valuable athletes, taking the 3rd place.
Diana Mahmutova – 2nd place (silver) in 50 m butterfly; 3rd place (bronze) in 100 m butterfly.
Louise Anson – 2nd place (silver) in 100 m butterfly.
Elsa Shipkova – 3rd place (bronze) 200 m backstroke.
Artūrs Rihards Stutiņš – 3rd place (bronze) in 100 m breaststroke.
During the competition, Artūrs broke his own Jūrmala record in the 100 m breaststroke distance.
In relay swimming, the highest results were shown by:
- In the morning session of the first day, the bronze medal in the 4×50 m mixed freestyle relay was won by:
Dmitrij Tolstich, Reinis Eduards Paulis, Louise Ansone and Elsa Shipkova. - In the evening session of the first day, the boys’ quartet — Reinis Eduards Paulis, Kirils Pozniaks, Viestards Dzenis and Dmitrijs Tolstich — broke the Jurmala record in the 4×50 m freestyle relay.
- In the morning session of the second day, the silver medal in the 50 m mixed complex relay was won by:
Emma Tereze Asare, Artūrs Rihards Stutiņš, Dmitrijs Tolstyhs and Elsa Shipkova. - The evening session of the second day was closed by a quartet of girls — Emma Tereze Asare, Anastasia Yashina, Diana Mahmutova and Elza Shipkova — with a silver medal in the 4×50 m complex relay and a new Jurmala record.
