This is a new step in his fight to have the dysfunctions recognized in this case. The sister of a woman killed in the Oise in 2017 obtained the dismissal of an investigating judge before the disciplinary training of the Superior Council of the Magistracy (CSM), she announced Monday, June 30.

Bénédicte Belair had been found dead at her home in Pont-Sainte-maxence on April 4, 2017. The investigation had initially dismissed a feminicide. President of the National Federation of women’s Victims,Sylvaine Grévin,the victim’s sister,denounces in particular “A sloppy investigation”,“favoring an accidental death in defiance of a proven context of domestic violence” and the destruction of seals while judicial facts was underway.

In July 2024, she seized the CSM against the prosecutor and the investigating judge of the time. She obtained that her complaint against the investigating judge was transmitted to the disciplinary council of the magistrates of the siege, but not that concerning the prosecutor, told the Agency France-Presse (AFP) Olivier Morice, one of the complainant’s lawyers. Many CSM referrals by litigants rarely lead.

A Gendarme My Under Exam

After various twists and turns, Bénédicte Belair’s companion was finally indicted in January 2023 for aggravated violence against him, between January 2015 and April 2017. He was also placed under the status of witness assisted for “murder”. For the destruction of seals, The state was sentenced in May 2021 for “gross negligence”.

M^me Grévin had also filed a complaint for non-assistance to a person in danger against a gendarme intervened at his sister’s home a few days before his death, a complaint recently classified. Another gendarme, who had led the preliminary investigation, was indicted for false in public writing in january.
