St. Louis Blues forward Jordan Kyrou will reportedly be left out of tonight’s game against the Buffalo Sabres.
Media assigned to cover the Blues revealed this information. He was seen doing extra time during morning practice.
Kyrou, a 27-year-old from Toronto, played 14 games this season, collecting four goals and four assists.
The Blues’ second-round pick in 2016 has played in 430 games since the start of his career. He hit the target 154 times in addition to being an accomplice on 186 other goals.
Over the past summer, Kyrou has been at the center of persistent trade rumors. He was notably one of the targets of Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes before July 1. Since then, a no-movement clause has been added to Kyrou’s contract, which has put an end to the rumors about him.
We can bet that if his personal situation persists and the Blues (4-8-2) continue to have problems, the names of Kyrou and several of his teammates could return to the rumors in the coming weeks.
Over the past three seasons, he has scored more than 30 goals each time, setting a personal high of 37 goals in the 2022-23 season.
