Indonesian women’s singles tennis player Janice Earn made a proud achievement after winning the 2025 Chennai Open which took place at the SDAT Tennis Stadium, Chennai, India, on Sunday (2/11) evening WIB.
Janice secured the title after beating Australian Kimberly Birrell in straight sets with a score of 6-4, 6-3.
Since the start of the match, Janice appeared aggressive and confident. He quickly took a 2-0 lead in the first set thanks to his sharp serve and accurate ball returns.

Birrell put up some resistance by equalizing the score at 3-3, but Janice was able to control the game.
Jenice then closed the first set with a 6-4 win after recording consecutive leads of 4-3, 5-3 and 5-4.
Entering the second set, Janice appeared increasingly dominant. He played more freely and pressed from the start, making it difficult for Birrell to develop his game.
Janice shot to a 4-0 lead before her opponent managed to stop her points from 1-4, 2-4 and 3-4.
However, Janice’s impressive performance returned and continued until finally closing the second set with a score of 6-3.
This victory is Janice’s first Chennai Open title and continues her positive trend in her professional career on the international tennis scene recently.
With this achievement, it is hoped that Janice can continue to bring Indonesia’s name to shine at world level tennis.
