FAIRGAME $, the Haven Studios Multiplayer Game is one of the next big games as Sony’s service, however, the project has just lost a big name, with Jade Raymond, the founder and head of the studio, left the company that created.
As revealed by journalist Jason Schreier of Portal Bloomberg, Fairgame $ recently performed an external test, which apparently did not have a very positive reception, as the team would have been concerned. After that, Jade Raymond decided to leave the studio without even giving an explanation to the rest of the team.
A PlayStation representative commented on the founder’s departure:
Jade Raymond has been an amazing partner and a visionary force in the founding of Haven Studios. We are deeply grateful for his leadership and contributions, and we wish her all the best in her next chapter.
Haven was founded in 2021 by Jade Raymond, and then acquired by Sony in 2022. Since then, the studio has been carrying in Fairgame $, one of the few Gaas in the Sony catalog that did not end up being canceled.
Despite Raymond’s departure and employees’ concern, Sony says it is “Committed to support Haven Studios and excited to continue the journey”.
