Ivar Jenner officially joins Dewa United. Ivar shares his experience, from starting his career in the Dutch Windmill Country to now landing in Banten.

Ivar Jenner was introduced by Dewa United to strengthen the Banten Warriors squad until the end of the 2025/26 Super League season. The 22 year old player joined from Dutch club, FC Utrecht, and is projected to be an important part in strengthening Dewa United’s midfield.

He is known as one of the mainstay midfielders for the Indonesian National Team for several years. It is hoped that his experience of playing in Europe and his consistency with the national team will be able to provide a new color to Dewa United’s game.

Ivar Jenner then shared his career journey from studying in the Netherlands to defending the Red and White at international level. He started by reminiscing about his formation process as a young player in the Land of Windmills.

“I consider the experience of playing football in the Netherlands to be good. I spent two years playing in the Ajax youth team before moving to FC Utrecht when I was 12 years old,” said Ivar as quoted detikSport on the club website, Friday (6/1/2025).

This trip became an important foundation in the development of technique and understanding of game tactics. After joining FC Utrecht, Ivar slowly got the opportunity to move up a level.

“There, I had several opportunities with the first team. Apart from that, I also recorded many minutes playing in the second division competition in the Dutch League with the second team FC Utrecht. This experience gave me important flying hours at that level,” he said.

This trip also led to Ivar Jenner joining the Indonesian National Team. He was often called upon to defend the country even though he was still relatively young at that time.

“My experience with the national team was also positive. The journey started when I joined the U-20 national team at a training camp in Türkiye,” he explained.

From there, he continued to climb higher levels until he was finally trusted to appear with the senior team.

“After that, I continued my work with the U-23 team to the senior national team. With the first team, I worked under three different coaches,” he said.

Now, Ivar has a new harbor. Together with Dewa United, he hopes to continue to contribute to Indonesian football at world level.

“Now, I am taking a new step in my career, namely by joining Dewa United and feel very happy with this decision,” he said.

Ivar is also optimistic about the future of Indonesian football. Ivar wants to bring Skua Garuda to talk a lot at the 2027 Asian Cup and wants to qualify Indonesia for the next World Cup.

“Even though we have not succeeded in qualifying for the World Cup, I believe the national team has good quality to compete in the Asian Cup and look forward to opportunities for the next World Cup. I am optimistic that this target can be achieved,” he concluded.
