Lorraine Kelly Reportedly “Insulted” by ITV’s Offer Amidst Schedule Shakeup

Daytime television faces notable changes as ITV looks to streamline its programming.

Longtime television host Lorraine Kelly reportedly felt “insulted” by an offer from ITV concerning her daytime program, Lorraine. This comes amidst a broader restructuring of ITV’s daytime schedule, impacting several well-known shows.

Reports indicate that ITV is reducing the length of Lorraine by half, reallocating the 30 minutes to Good Morning Britain as part of a cost-cutting initiative. starting in January 2026,Lorraine will air for 30 weeks of the year, from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM,rather of its usual 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM slot. Good Morning Britain will then run from 6:00 AM to 9:30 AM.

According to sources, KELLY was initially presented with the idea of merging her show with GMB, which she declined. The schedule changes were implemented shortly thereafter.

MAILONLINE reported that the host “was pulled into a meeting with bosses where she was told about Good Morning Britain“.

The source added, “It was proposed that her show would merge with GMB so that she presented the last 30 minutes of the broadcast, which is what happened when a reduced team were working during lockdown.”

The insider claimed KELLY “told them no and said it wasn’t even a possibility,” and that “The entire thing has been an insult and she’s certain to leave when the year-long contract ends.”
