Apple has put a new ad online to promote group selfies with the front camera of the iPhone 17. Apple is highlighting the iPhone 17 Pro here, but it is worth noting that it is also available with the standard iPhone 17 (and the iPhone Air by the way).

This is indeed one of the new features. Center Stage keeps your face centered during calls or selfies, automatically adjusting the framing when you move or people enter the frame. It’s an automatic system, the frame expands on its own if there are people around you.
The advantage here is not having to put your iPhone in landscape mode so that everyone can fit into the frame. Simply holding your iPhone in portrait mode is enough.
