#14Mar | What started as a technical stopover in London 🇬🇧, ended up becoming the most memorable chapter in the history of Los Mesoneros (@losmesoneros). While the Venezuelan group 🇻🇪 was preparing for a recording session at the iconic Abbey Road studios, the routine was interrupted by the spontaneous appearance of Paul McCartney, leaving the musicians stunned by the presence of the legend of The Beatles.

In the midst of disbelief, Luis Jiménez (vocalist), Juan Sucre (guitar) and Carlos Sardi (keyboards) had the opportunity to exchange words with the author of “Yesterday.” During the brief, but intense interaction, the band members 🎶 could only express their admiration: “A pleasure, what an honor.”

According to the video shared on social networks by Los Mesoneros, McCartney was not limited to a protocol greeting. The British legend took the time to chat about the mystique of Studio 2 and shared a reflection with them. He also told them that it had been a while since he had seen rock bands 🤘🏻 in those facilities and that seeing a young group working there made him very happy.

The trip to London was not only to collect anecdotes, as they were already working on their new album 💿 titled That Which Brought Us to Abbey Road, an album that works as a tribute to their origins and their present. The band, which already has multiple Latin Grammy nominations and appearances at festivals such as Lollapalooza and Pa’l Norte, sought to capture in this album the duality between the rawness of rock and its more melodic passages.
