The Bayreuth Tigers suffered their fourth away defeat in a row in the Ice Hockey Oberliga South. Coach Larry Suarez’s team lost to bottom-placed Erding Gladiators 5:6 (2:2, 1:3, 2:0, 0:1) after extra time, but after a strong comeback in the final third they still secured a point and even consolidated sixth place because rival EV Lindau simultaneously lost their home game against EV Füssen 2:3.
