Celebrated for the first time in 1968, the month of the Hispanic inheritance (from September 15 to October 15) recognizes the culture, achievements, contributions and influence of the Latin community in the United States and, to celebrate it, we leave you a list of the main events that will take place near the Charlotte area.
Latin celebration at the Mint Museum

It is a celebration for the month of Hispanic inheritance in the traditional Mint 2 Move. The event includes Rumbao dance lessons of Latin Dance, live music, percussion trio and DJ Carlos LeBron, cultural vendors and presentations of the Dance Academy The Soul of the Moon.

Latin night on the Passover farm
Join Easter Farm to enjoy an evening full of music, dance, delicious food and live artists, created to celebrate Latin culture. This month’s event will have rock in Spanish.

Latin folklore workshop for children
With the aim of promoting the creativity of the little ones, the Cross Cross Mangosauce group will hold various workshops that are part of its “Peoples” program. These include events for the whole family in which there will be songs, stories, games, plays and many more activities designed to teach about Latin America’s folklore.

Event: ancestral connections
The House of Culture and Harvey B. Gantt Center invite an interactive experience for the month of Hispanic inheritance. This event will have live art presentations that include rhythms such as the Puerto Rican bomb, Venezuelan Calipso and Peruvian celebration. In addition, they will offer guided workshops on these Afro Latin genres.

Latin night at Camp North End
Join one afternoon and night full of music with a major orchestra, authentic Latin food and refreshing drinks, urban and tropical rhythms and dance and free workshop of Latin steps by rumbao. This is a free event in the Boileryard district of Camp North End.

International Concord Festival
The Hispanic bridge invites you to enjoy the Concord International Festival, an event full of culture from different countries. There will be colorful ethnic performances, arts, international food, cultural positions and a corner for children with attractions of international inspiration and much more fun for the whole family.

During the next months, Cinema will be presenting Latin American films to create spaces of community, dialogue and culture completely free.
