The BK117-D3 helicopter owned by the Eastindo operator is allegedly falling in Tanah Bumbu Regency, South Kalimantan. The point of loss of contact is around Mandin Damar Waterfall, Mantewe District with coordinates 3 ° 06’54.58 “S – 115 ° 41’21.62” E.

The information was based on an initial report from Airnav Banjarmasin. The helicopter is known to carry eight people, including pilots and technicians. Until this news was revealed, all passengers and crew were still in search (DP).

The identity of the PK-RGH helicopter passengers and crew is Capt Haryanto, Eng Hendra, Mark Werren, Yudi Febrian, Andys Rissa Pasulu, Santha Kumar, Claudine Quito, and Iboy Irfan Rosa.

The combined SAR team has been deployed to the alleged location of contact. The team moved to the land from the Batulicin SAR Alert Unit to the last coordinates with a distance of about 71.5 km.

SAR operations involved 40 joint personnel from Basarnas, Kotabaru SAR Post, Tanah Bumbu Brimob, as well as a number of other related agencies. A number of search support equipment, such as rescue carrier cars, navigation equipment, communication, and evacuation have also been prepared.

“Difficult terrain, dense vegetation, and limited communication are the main obstacles of the search. But the whole team has been in the field since 12:20 pm,” said Head of Basarnas Banjarmasin I Putu Sudayana, Monday (1/9/2025).

He said he had coordinated with Airnav Syamsudin Noor Banjarmasin, BPBD South Kalimantan, Korem 101/Antasari, and Lanud Syamsudin Noor to speed up the search process by land and air.

The weather around the location was reported to be cloudy. Until now, the SAR team is still on its way to the last coordinates. People who know information related to the existence of this helicopter are advised to immediately report through emergency services 115.
