Guyana & US Military: Caribbean Deployment 2025

by Archynetys World Desk

Guyana president Irfaan Ali, said Monday (01.09.2025) his support for the military deployment of the United States in the Caribbean, while the Caracas regime accused the Guyanese government of encouraging a “war front.”

Ali’s support comes a day after his government denounced “shots” from Venezuela against a boat that transported material for the general elections on Monday.

“We will support everything that eliminates any threat to our security, not only in terms of sovereignty (…) we must unite to combat transnational crime, to combat drug trafficking,” the president told the press after voting in the general elections of Guyana.

“We have always repeatedly stated that this region must continue to be a peace zone and we will do everything possible to ensure that it remains a peace zone,” he said.

Chavista regime accuses Guyana of trying “to create a war front”

Also on Monday, the Venezuelan Defense Minister, Vladimir Padrino López, accused Guyana of trying to “create a war front” through falsehoods.

According to Guyana, a patrol boat that transported military and police personnel to escort electoral officials was attacked from the Venezuelan coast, a version that the Chavista regime denies.

Washington recently deployed warships in the Caribbean, in what he called an operation against drug trafficking and accused Nicolás Maduro of leading the Los Solos poster. He also doubled the reward for his capture, which is now 50 million dollars.

However, the United States has not publicly threatened to invade Venezuela, who said it would patrol its territorial waters and mobilize more than four million militiamen in response to US “threats.”
