It’s Friday evening in Hamburg twice burned: In Bergedorf a fire broke out at a former hardware store and in Mümmelmannsberg there was a fire on a balcony.

At 6:09 p.m., the fire department responded to Kurt-A.-Körber-Chaussee because rubbish was burning in the area of ​​the rear entrance to the former Max Bahr branch. The canopy was slightly damaged by the fire, a police spokesman said. Nobody was injured. Arson may have been the cause – the investigation is ongoing.

Around three quarters of an hour later, a fire broke out on a balcony of an apartment building in Mümmelmannsberg. Shortly before 7 p.m., emergency services were called to Rahewinkel Street. A thrown firecracker may have started the fire, but here too the cause has not yet been finally clarified. The State Criminal Police Office has started the investigation. There were no injuries.
