The red carpet of the Golden Globes 2026 has brought together the biggest film and television stars of the season at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles. Although it is a night of celebration and partying, they also have a place political demands and protest messages like those worn by some of the nominated and guest stars.
It has been the case of Jean Smart, winner of the Golden Globe for best actress for the third time for Hacks; Mark Ruffalo, nominated for best actor in a drama series for his work in Task; or the actress Wanda Sykes, presenter of one of the awards of the night.
They could be seen walking the red carpet before the start of the gala with pins that read messages such as “ICE Out” [ICE fuera] o “Be Good” [pórtate bien] in protest against Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service (ICE).
This agency of the US Department of Homeland Security, created during the mandate of Joe Biden, has been promoted as an immigration police during the second legislature of Donald Trump and is widely noted for its violent methods of detention and deportation of illegal immigrants. Behind the pins worn by Ruffalo and other stars is a campaign organized by industry professionals with the support of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) under the lema #BeGood which seeks to remind society of the importance of “being good to each other in the face of terror: being good citizens, neighbors, friends, allies and human beings.”
