Martina Innocenti, originally from Soci, undertook an extraordinary journey that took her to cycle from London to Florence, with a goal that goes far beyond the simple desire to explore the world by bicycle. She is not a professional athlete, but her undertaking is linked to a noble and humanitarian objective: supporting the Palestinian population. The project, entitled “Cycling from London to Florence-for Gaza Soup Kitchen“, aims to raise funds for Gaza Soup Kitchen, an organization that provides daily hot meals and concrete support to the civilian population of war-torn Gaza.
Martina’s journey, which lasted several weeks, is not only a physical challenge, but also an act of solidarity and compassion. Its mission is to raise public awareness of the difficult living conditions of Palestinians, especially the most vulnerable, such as children and families who have lost everything. With her bicycle and the determination of those who do not stop in the face of difficulties, Martina is traveling km after km every day, raising funds thanks to the generosity of those who believe in her cause.
Along the way, Martina met many people who supported her in various ways: offering food, accommodation or simply a smile.
