- Former world champion Keith Thurman will challenge Sebastian Fundora for the WBC junior middleweight title in Las Vegas.
- The pay-per-view event will be broadcast on Prime Video and costs $74.99.
A former world boxing champion looks to add another piece of hardware to his collection on March 28, as Keith Thurman challenges the reigning WBC junior middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora in Las Vegas.
Despite just two bouts in the past six years, Thurman is back fighting for a world title after an impressive return to the ring last March, stopping Brock Jarvis in the third round on Jarvis’s home turf in Australia. He was then slated to face Fundora in October, before Fundora suffered a hand injury which postponed the bout.
Fundora, considered by many to be the division’s top fighter, is the tallest world champion in boxing towering at 6-foot-5½. He’s in the midst of a career-best run in which he became unified champion before twice defending his WBC title, most recently stopping Tim Tszyu in the seventh round of their rematch last July.
“I have to expect the best Keith Thurman to come out,” Fundora said on March 11. “That’s what we’re training for. Whether he brings it or not, that’s not up to me. But I’ll be ready.”
Here’s when the fighters are expected to enter the ring on fight night.
