In 2021, Tristan Corthay’s objective is clear: to join the elite of Swiss hockey and give himself the means to dream bigger. This involves leaving Sembrancher and his family to join Genève-Servette. He was only 15 years old then. Uprooting and transition are pitfalls but he feels ready. On one condition, in addition to the sporting criteria: “I wanted to keep a family environment for my development,” remembers the young Valaisan, today in U21 Elite.
Every evening, after training, Tristan Corthay found a table set, a hot meal, discussions shared with the four children of the house. “We all eat together, a real family meal. It was a ritual that did a lot of good.”
