Capoliveri. “Capsula” has been active since yesterday, Friday 29 August, in the Capeoliveri town hall, for those wishing to carry out a free check-up and have an immediate “photograph” of their state of well-being.
The mayor of Capoliveri, Walter Montagna and the deputy mayor, councilor for health, Professor Enrico Castellacci, cut the tape of the device in front of representatives of institutions, law enforcement, Elban health, committees, on the first floor of the town hall. All citizens Capoliverese, Elban and guests will be able to access it for free,
It is an avant -garde tool that represents a new frontier for prevention, offering everyone the possibility of quickly and autonomously monitoring their vital parameters in about 8 minutes. It is able to automate the main health indicators of the person, such as heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory frequency, oxygen saturation, perceived stress and sleep quality.
Obviously, as was specified during the ceremony, the capsule does not deliver diagnosis to the user and does not replace the doctor, but photographs some health parameters at that moment, thanks to artificial intelligence. The data processed by the capsule offer a very important first signal which, in case of need, must be deepened with health professionals.
Capoliveri is absolutely the first municipality in Italy to make the device available. “I thank the administration – underlined the creator of the device, Alessandro Nizardo Chailly during the inauguration -. The device gives citizens the opportunity to take care of themselves. The basic concept is that 84% of non -transmissible pathologies are directly correlated with lifestyle. Our population is aging and chronicity increase. Making prevention is fundamental. On the needs of people we offer a service that is totally self and that meets the possibility of generating a new awareness both in people and in the municipality. The collected data can in fact help to better understand what the needs of the population are and to implement the necessary activities, in addition to monitoring over time how they can change ».
It is a capsule of preventive medicine based on artificial intelligence, used in compliance with the close regulations that regulate the health sector.
Some of those present at the inauguration lined up to try the device and check the capsule.
Each test is presented with a brief description and a video that explains in a simple way what is measured. The result is processed in just 8 minutes through the printing of a paper receipt with QR code which can be connected to telemedicine through the smartphone.
The machine is on loan for use at the Municipality of Capoliveri for three years, for an expense of just over 48 thousand euros.
