Apple is rumored to be releasing its first foldable iPhone in 2026. Details of its design have been leaked.
According to insider Instant Digital, the foldable iPhone’s volume buttons will be placed on the top edge of the device and moved to the right side, similar to the iPad mini. The power button and camera controls with Touch ID are located on the right side of the device, similar to the iPhone. The left side of the device is smooth and does not have any buttons.
The front camera uses a single punch-hole design, and the “Dynamic Island” is smaller. On the back left side of the device is an “iPhone Air”-style camera pedestal that contains two horizontally arranged cameras, a microphone, and a flash. However, unlike the iPhone Air, the camera pedestal is completely black and does not seem to match the color of the device itself.
The only body color confirmed for the foldable iPhone is “white,” but it is predicted that one more color will be added at the time of release, resulting in two color variations.
The folding iPhone is not just two iPhones attached together, but seems to incorporate a new design concept.
