Florida Hit-and-Run: Man Dies, Family Mourns | Premises Liability

There were three vehicles that fatally ran over Bryan Albelo, a 31-year-old disabled man who in events reported on Highway 441 known as Orange Blossom Trail, in Osceola County, Florida.

Two of the vehicles that hit him were a 2012 Kia Rio and a 2012 Ford Taurus, whose drivers remained at the scene. The driver of a third vehicle, a silver Lexus Sedan, fled the scene and later surrendered. Bryan, like so many, had arrived in the United States after Hurricane Maria in search of a better quality of life within their conditions.

Despite suffering from the well-known brittle bone disease, osseogenesis imperfecta, and hydrocephalus, for which they had been given a limited life prognosis that they continued to challenge, this family is overwhelmed by the pain that what ended up taking their life were these events.

His brother and uncle spoke with NotiCentro and the latter described him as a very happy and dynamic boy who loved to make others laugh.

Bryan’s relatives hope that there is justice for Bryan and that the world is aware that although we are not all the same, every life deserves respect, compassion and sensitivity, aspects that they hope are present on the roads.

Two of the drivers remained at the scene, while a third allegedly fled, but has since been found.
