Autumn lasts until June 21st and should be marked by high temperatures, with the heat remaining in the first weeks, in addition to prolonged rain in some regions.
First cold front already has a date
The first cold front with the biggest impact of autumn is expected to advance only in the second half of April, according to Climatempo. The phenomenon should cause temperatures to drop in the south of the country and in areas of the Southeast and Center-West.
However, the most intense cold is only expected to arrive in the second half of May, with a greater probability at the end of the month. Among the affected areas are the South, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Mato Grosso do Sul, areas of the center-south and southwest of Minas Gerais, as well as parts of Mato Grosso and Goiás.
Temperatures should be between 12°C and 14°C in São Paulo in the last week of April, with thermometers only approaching 10°C at the end of May or June. In Curitiba and Porto Alegre, temperatures below 10°C are already possible in the second half of April. Florianópolis should have values close to 10°C at the beginning of June.

Rains in the South
A coastal El Niño, a phenomenon caused by the warming of waters near the coast of Peru and Ecuador, favors an increase in rainfall, especially in the South region, during autumn. The stretch between Rio Grande do Sul and Paraná should be the most affected, while the Southeast and Central-West should have average rainfall volumes.
In the Northeast, the season is usually marked by rain, and should also have above-average volumes in capitals between Salvador and Natal. In the North, the rain should be less than normal, with the exception of Amapá.
The cold happens most intensely between May and June, with a chance of frost in the South, in the south of Mato Grosso do Sul and in areas of São Paulo.
