The Lincoln Lawyer season 1 includes a minor Maggie scene in the finale that will be much more important to the story in season 4. Since its debut three years ago, the Netflix legal drama has remained popular with its passionate fanbase, thanks to its well-crafted story and entertaining characters.
The show includes a perfect balance of comedy, drama, and romance. Additionally, the writing effectively connects moments across seasons, demonstrating a well-thought-out approach to developing the story. Many themes and story threads weave in and out of the story perfectly.

The FBI Is Helpful & Justice-Seeking In The Lincoln Lawyer Season 1
While rewatching The Lincoln LawyerI noticed that season 1 includes a throwaway scene where the FBI helps get justice when the DA’s office can’t. In the season finale, Maggie is unable to take down a human trafficker, given that her case fell apart in court and her reputation was harmed. As such, she seeks help from an FBI agent.
She hopes that they’ll be able to charge him federally, taking him off the streets and making him face justice. This scene will be essential to remember going into season 4 because the interactions with the FBI will directly contrast with one another.

The FBI Gets Even Worse In The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4
I will refrain from sharing bigger spoilers about who they’re investigating or what information they have, so as to keep the mystery alive about who framed Mickey Haller for Sam Scales’ murder. However, the FBI will have an adversary role in The Lincoln Lawyer season 4. They have already explored this idea a bit with Agent Vasquez and the Lisa Trammell case, but Vasquez was at least somewhat helpful even when he was obstinate.
Season 4’s story will flip the FBI’s role from season 1 on its head, as they’ll make Mickey’s case harder instead of helping get justice. They know information that would clear Mickey, but won’t step in. In fact, they threaten Mickey when he tries to push them.
This will further the show’s ongoing discussion about the flaws within the legal system. The Maggie scene, Agent Vasquez from season 2, and the FBI agents in The Lincoln Lawyer season 4 show the good, the gray area, and the bad of the institution.
