Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti guaranteed a place for Estevao in his squad for the 2026 World Cup. The Chelsea winger has consistently shown good performance this season.

Since joining Chelsea, Estevao has played 18 times in all competitions, scoring five goals and one assist. With the national team, he was no less shining.

Since making his debut in September 2024, Estevao has made 11 appearances for Brazil and scored five goals, with four of them coming in the last four matches in October and November. He slowly became an important part of the Selecao.

When asked by Esporte Record whether Estevao would be taken to the World Cup or not, Ancelotti immediately confirmed it. As long as the 18 year old youth performs consistently, he doesn’t need to worry about his future in the Brazilian national team.

“I think so. Based on how Estevao has played in the last six months, I think so. Estevao will play in the World Cup,” said Ancelotti.

“He’s a very, very special player. He’s very different because he has extraordinary natural talent. It doesn’t mean he’s 100 percent developed because of his age. As for talent, he can’t develop it, but what he can do is provide continuity.”

“Things that can help are the physical aspect, tactical learning and mental approach because he is still very young. He is developing very, very well at Chelsea. I haven’t spoken to Chelsea, but I’m sure they are running a special program with him in this regard.”

“So, I think the national team should take advantage of this one because the talent is very big,” stressed Ancelotti.
