Al-Marsad newspaper: Egyptian artist Elham Shaheen said that she was married more than once, and her second marriage was strange because she accepted to be the “second wife.”
She added during the Between the Lines program: “My husband was crazy about me and chased me all the time and threatened to burn something with fire water.” She indicated that she did not feel regret about this marriage, even though it caused pain for the first wife.
She continued: “I have not and will never find someone who loves me as much as this person loved me. I loved his love for me, and I stipulated that infallibility was in my hands, and he agreed to this condition. After a while, I separated from him because of the difficulty of life between us and the incompatibility.”
She added that the separation angered her ex-husband, so he tried to convince her to return, so that the divorce decision came from him.”
She pointed out that the crisis witnessed serious developments and almost reached a threat, and said, “He threatened me and said, ‘You will come back to me, and I will do anything to you.’”
