Egypt and Oman Discuss Regional Stability Amidst Israeli-Iranian Tensions

In a recent phone call,Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi and Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq addressed escalating regional tensions. The conversation,which took place on Tuesday,focused on the critical need to de-escalate the situation between Israel and Iran,according to the Egyptian presidency.

A spokesman for the presidency conveyed that Al-Sisi cautioned against the “serious consequences of expanding the circle of conflict in the region” and advocated for a renewed commitment to negotiations as a means to avert further bloodshed.

The Egyptian President also acknowledged Oman’s mediating role between Iran and the United States, emphasizing the importance of revitalizing the negotiation process to prevent regional conflict. The Sultan of Oman reciprocated by praising Egypt’s endeavors to quell violence and affirmed Oman’s dedication to collaborative efforts on this matter.

Call for Ceasefire in Gaza
