Cairo – Egyptian official Diaa Rashwan said Israel’s Prime Minister (PM) Benjamin Netanyahu “Delusi”, challenged him to cancel the gas agreement between Egypt and Israel. The news was reported by Anadolu.

“Netanyahu was unable to bear the economic and political consequences of the cancellation of the gas agreement,” said Diaa Rashwan, Head of the State Information Service (SIS), in a statement broadcast on television.

“(Netanyahu) views Egypt as an obstacle for his dream to realize Israel Raya and the danger for him, the thorns in his flesh, especially because Cairo is the first defense line against the eviction of Palestinians,” he said.

His comments followed the Israeli media report stating that Netanyahu was considering suspending a gas supply agreement to Egypt.

Israel Harian Hayom reported on Tuesday that, “Netanyahu instructed officials not to continue the massive gas agreement with Egypt without his personal approval.”
