Comedian Druski‘s “white Patriot” Character Sparks Debate

Comedian Druski, known for his viral sketches and collaborations with artists like Drake and Lil Yachty, has stirred controversy with his latest character.

Druski, whose real name is Andrew Desbordes, rose to fame through Instagram and YouTube during the pandemic. Rolling Stone has recognized him as a rising influential creator.

His new character, a stereotypical “white patriot,” has generated significant buzz and debate.

Patriotism or Caricature?

Druski’s character is a white man dressed in stereotypical attire: half-open work pants, a cowboy hat adorned with stars and stripes, and holding a beer. He debuted the character at a NASCAR race.

In videos posted on Instagram and X, Druski portrays the character as “just proud to be an American,” singing Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA,” offering a woman a cigarette, and shouting patriotic slogans.

The character also makes controversial remarks, including telling black audience members to “Find you something to do, boy.”

Social Media Reaction

The video has garnered millions of views and likes,sparking a wide range of reactions,from amusement to outrage.

Some viewers were unaware that druski was in disguise.

One user commented, “There were certainly people in the video who thought he was actually white.”
