Drug Discovery & Weapons Law: Leipzig Case

by drbyos

On Tuesday evening, November 18, 2025, a patrol from the Dresden Federal Police Inspectorate checked a 31-year-old German citizen at Dresden Central Station and seized prohibited items and narcotics.

At around 7:35 p.m., the officers carried out a routine check on the man, who had already been reported to the police in the past. The 31-year-old reacted noticeably nervously to the police action, but denied that he was carrying prohibited items with him.

During the subsequent, more intensive check, a one-hand knife was discovered and seized. This raises suspicion of a violation of the weapons law.

As the inspection continued, the man voluntarily handed over a small white can. Inside were several clip bags containing a partially white, crystalline substance. The 31-year-old himself described the substance on site as methamphetamine (Crystal).

The Dresden Federal Police Inspectorate has initiated appropriate investigations into the violation of the Weapons Act and the Narcotics Act.
