Temuco Hospital Urges Blood Donations Amidst critical Shortage
A single blood donation can help save up to three lives,according to medical professionals.
The Dr. hernán Henríquez Aravena de Temuco hospital is facing a severe blood shortage adn is calling on the community for assistance. The hospital, a crucial part of the Araucanía Sur care network, provides blood to patients throughout the province of Cautín, many of whom rely on transfusions for their survival.
The demand for blood units has recently surged due to complex surgeries, cancer treatments, and emergency situations like accidents. this increase has considerably depleted blood reserves, hindering the hospital’s ability to provide consistent care to those in need.
Easy and Swift process
Dr. Cecilia Beltrán, Chief of the Blood Bank of the Hospital, is encouraging people to visit the Blood Bank, stating, “because at this time our reservations are super low.
