The marriage of our well-known couple has been experiencing a difficult period for a long time.
Crisis in marriage
For many years they belonged to our most stable couples. Her partner Michal Navara has been an integral part of our tennis player Dominika Cibulková since 2010. The couple met through mutual acquaintances in one of Bratislava’s clubs, and their first weeks already indicated that it was not just an ordinary, short-term romance. Dominika’s coach also noticed this, and suggested that Michal become part of their professional team. Together, they spent not only their free time, but also their working time. While this would hurt many couples, it did the exact opposite in their case.

That’s how they convinced themselves that they were made for each other. In 2016, they officially sealed their love – with a spectacular wedding. Three years later, she announced the end of her career, followed by the arrival of her first-born son Jakubek and later daughter Ninka.
Not so long ago, the mini-copy of our tennis player celebrated her 2nd birthday. Even this time, as is customary with our former sportswoman, there was no lack of a lavish celebration. The photos from the celebration were one of the last times we saw the Navarros in society as a couple. Since May, Dominika, who used to share photos with her husband on a regular basis, has been sparing with photos with Michal. The reason came from the newspaper Nový Čas, which reported on the crisis of a well-known couple.
It’s not what it used to be…
As we already mentioned, Dominika and Michal have been married for almost 10 years. It is therefore understandable that their marriage evolves and goes through different periods. What they are experiencing today is extremely difficult.
“Relationships develop, which is normal and human. When two small children come into a relationship and a lot of work is involved, I think that the relationship is no longer the same as when you get to know each other, enjoy the beginnings of love and are more or less carefree,” Domča told Šport24.sk, adding that they spend less and less time together due to their responsibilities. While she works on her weight loss app, Michal runs a business in the gastro industry. When they are already together as a family, they pay attention primarily to the children. This is also probably one of the factors why a crisis appeared in their relationship.

“It will have been several months since we solved these matters. I think that communication is very important in these matters. At the same time, I think that when two people are together and have the communication set up correctly, they can solve the problems together,” she added.
Divorce and alleged mistress
Although the crisis is more intense than the public thought, it seems that neither spouse is accepting divorce as an option. Family is a priority for both of them and they focus on keeping theirs together.
“Michal and I use the services of couples therapy, and I would definitely recommend it to everyone. Before, I only saw it in movies, that couples go to marriage therapy, and I thought to myself, how is that possible. You see, and now it’s happening to us. But that’s life,” revealed the tennis player. Whether it will be successful is still questionable, but it is certain that both are doing their best for it.

A lot of information appears in the backroom. One of them is that the spouses no longer live together. Although Dominika did not confirm it, she did not deny it either.
„As I said before, we don’t spend as much time together as we used to. Now we have it a little differently. Sometimes I take the children to the clubs, and then Michal has his time for the children. In this respect, we complement each other. Our time is divided, but also shared. I think that’s about all I’ll say about that,” she briefly responded to the question of the mentioned sports magazine with the addition that such things cannot be solved overnight and simply need more time.
A much “stronger” rumor is that a third party is behind the problems in the marriage. Only recently there were speculations about Michal Navar’s lover, whose identity was finally revealed by Dominika herself. According to her, this is Iryna, who is the manager of Michal’s cafe and his partner in the baguette company. The nice Ukrainian woman was even a guest at the mentioned celebration of Ninka.

According to the speeches, even Dominika is not lagging behind, to which the tennis player gave a forceful, but nevertheless non-contradictory opinion.
“Even if one or the other were true, it is purely our private matter.I find it undignified to deal with such private matters with the public and the media. I understand and understand that coffee shop talk is interesting for people, but let’s keep it on a decent level,’ concluded Dominika.
