Los Angeles (dpa) – US actress Diane Ladd, who was nominated for an Oscar three times, is dead. Her daughter, Oscar winner Laura Dern, announced her mother’s death. Her “great heroine” died today in her home in Ojai, California, wrote Dern (58) in a statement that was available to the “Hollywood Reporter” and other US media. Dern praised Ladd as “the greatest daughter, mother, grandmother, actress, artist and compassionate spirit.” Ladd was 89 years old.
