The Minister of Education, Culture, Children and General Director of Schools (DGE)Tadeo García Zalazar, led a virtual meeting with representatives of the World Bank to analyze and project the implementation in 2026 of the program Language Nutritionwhich has been taking place in Mendoza since 2023 as part of a joint action between the Provincial Literacy Program and the Reading Fluency and Comprehension Program.
The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of Education of the DGE, Claudia Ferrari; the coordinator of Educational Policies, Adriana Yenarópulos; the director of Early Childhood Educational Centers (CEPI), Natalia San Juan; World Bank consultant Pamela Jervis; and the coordinators and mentors of the program, Claudia Dumé and Silvina Buscafiori, responsible for its implementation in 1 and 2-year-old classrooms and in multi-classrooms.
During the meeting, representatives of the World Bank presented the evaluation carried out on the development of the program during 2025. In this framework, it was highlighted that in 2023 and 2024 the initiative was applied as part of a research project aimed at generating scientific evidence that contributes to the formulation of educational policies that guarantee continuous and meaningful school trajectories from the first years of life.
Based on the results obtained, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Children and DGE decided to universalize the program during 2025 in all 2-year-old classrooms of the CEPI in the province. By 2026, it is planned to expand its scope and extend the implementation of Language Nutrition to the 1 and 2 year old rooms and to the multi-rooms of all the CEPI in Mendoza.
The program aims to strengthen the linguistic, cognitive, motor and socio-emotional development of girls and boys from early childhood, through coordinated work with families, teachers and caregivers, promoting early stimulation and better educational trajectories in the future.
