Devils Win Streak: 4th Consecutive Victory

by drbyos

New Jersey seems to have regained its form from the start of the season. The “Swiss Devils” picked up their fourth consecutive success in the NHL by dominating the New York Rangers 6-3.

Top Swiss scorer of the season, Nico Hischier scored his 21st goal in this 2025/26 financial year to be designated third star of this game. The Devils captain made it 4-3 in the 49th, on the power play, with a wrist shot. He is now at 46 points this season.

The other Swiss players of the Devils remained discreet, Timo Meier – although author of 6 shots on target – and Jonas Siegenthaler not registering a single point. The man of the match was Jack Hughes: the American, hero of the Olympic final, scored three goals and an assist on Saturday in Newark.

Despite this victorious series, the Devils remain in penultimate place in the Metropolitan Division, just ahead of the Rangers who have the worst record in the East. New Jersey is nine lengths behind Boston, which currently holds the second “wild card”, and ten behind Pittsburgh, 3rd in its Division.
