Youths at 17 and 14 were detained for up to 24 hours for failure to comply with a police order, the crowd was investigated, tried to save them from police officers, and a law enforcement officer was investigated for a slight bodily injury with a stop cartridge. Both investigations are monitored by the Stara Zagora District Prosecutor’s Office, which reported the incident.
On August 19, at about 9:30 pm, the two police officers guarded the derailed train composition near Sandchevo. At the bypass of the place, they noticed two young people who moved with a cart with horse harness, and there were metal parts of the wagons, the prosecutor’s office said. The young people were moving along the way towards the town of Galabovo.
The police set out to chase them. They detained one of the young people – 17 years old and the second – at the age of 14, managed to escape. During this time, the cart continued to move alone on the road, hitting a moving “Audi” and breaking into parts. There were four people in the car who were not injured, the state prosecution continued.
As the police identified the identity of the 17-year-old, a group of Galabovo people gathered near them, who urged the boy to be released. They started pushing and pulling the cops. One of the police officers fell to the ground and was struck on his body.
His colleague fired a warning shot with a stop cartridge with a service weapon in the air. However, the people gathered on the spot did not leave and did not stop self-firing, resulting in a second shot with a stop cartridge, which fell into the feet of a 43-year-old man. A signal was reported to 112. Medical teams arrived on the spot, finding that the injury of the 43-year-old man was superficial. He was served an outpatient and released after the examination.
An investigation has been instituted to cause minor bodily harm by a police organ.
In the two pre -trial proceedings, active action is being carried out on the investigation, the prosecutor’s office assures. And they add that witnesses are being questioned, medical expertise has been appointed, material evidence has been seized and more.

On August 15, a freight train composition with more than 30 wagons overturned near the Simeonovgrad village of Sandchevo. Fuel tanks flared in the incident.
