Sport 24, the in-flight and on-ship entertainment service, has broadened it’s soccer rights portfolio by securing a deal for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup (CWC).

The 32-team tournament, scheduled to take place across 12 US venues between june 14 and July 13, will be available to flight and ship passengers via a sub-licensing agreement between IMG and DAZN. DAZN holds worldwide CWC rights through a deal unveiled late last year.

through this agreement, Sport 24 is set to broadcast over 55 matches, providing 115 hours of coverage from the CWC (which includes 63 games in total).

The deal encompasses a wide array of airlines and cruise lines that offer Sport 24 as an entertainment option, including Etihad Airways, Emirates, Turkish Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Carnival Group, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Norwegian Cruise Line, and Fred Olsen.

This announcement follows closely on the heels of a recent agreement for Sport 24 to also broadcast the upcoming UEFA Women’s European Championships national team soccer tournament, which will be held in Switzerland in July.

sport 24’s upcoming live sports coverage also includes tennis’ wimbledon grand slam from London, golf’s the Open, and Formula 1 motor racing.

in March, Sport 24 also secured the rights to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, marking the fourth consecutive World Cup to be broadcast by the service.

This year’s Club World Cup has been revamped to feature 32 teams, a notable increase from previous editions with fewer than 10 teams. The new format will occur once every four years.
