South Carolina women’s basketball is participating in the inaugural Players Era Women’s Championship tournament in Las Vegas alongside Texas, Duke and UCLA.
The No. 2 Gamecocks (5-0) will play Duke on Nov. 26 (4:30 p.m. ET, Tru TV) then either Texas or UCLA on Nov. 27 at either 8 p.m. ET or 10:30 p.m. ET (Tru TV).
The tournament is “an opportunity for athletes to engage in at least $1 million of NIL activities for Players Era and its sponsors outside of competition,” according to a school release.
South Carolina faced all three teams last season, including Texas four times, Duke twice and UCLA once. In total, coach Dawn Staley went 5-2, with a loss to the Bruins and one loss to the Longhorns.
A fresh set of rankings will release prior to tipoff but UCLA is currently No. 3 in the country, with Texas at No. 4.
