the post-apocalyptic world of “28 days Later” is set to return with a new installment, promising a terrifying and realistic saga.

The original film, released in 2002, captivated audiences with its depiction of a deserted LONDON ravaged by a mysterious virus that turned people into rage-filled killers. Unlike traditional zombie movies, “28 Days Later” presented a more credible and frightening scenario. Five years later, “28 Weeks Later” continued the story, focusing on a group of survivors and the healthy carriers of the virus they sought to protect.

Now, director Danny Boyle revisits this nightmare, plunging viewers back into a world consumed by the “fury” virus.

A Terrifying and realistic Saga

The new film, “28 Years Later,” shifts the focus to a smaller, more isolated setting: an island. For 10,228 days-twenty-eight years-since the virus’s escape, a group of uninfected individuals has lived in isolation, connected to the mainland by a heavily guarded path. They live a peaceful, technology-free life reminiscent of the 19th century.

When a Father and His Son Have to Cross Hell

The narrative intensifies when a father and his son decide to venture to the mainland, confronting the secrets, wonders, and horrors of the outside world.Following in the footsteps of cillian Murphy and Robert Carlyle, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, known for his physicality (as seen in kraven), takes on the lead role. armed with a bow and arrows, he embarks on an epic journey with his child, reminiscent of ancient Greek tales. The world they encounter has transformed, with the few non-infected developing new superstitions. Their encounter with a character played by Ralph fiennes promises to be a pivotal moment.

A Nightmare Born of Two Major Sick Brains

The “28 Years Later” franchise is the product of Danny Boyle, known for his impactful films like trainspotting, the beach and 127 hours, and Alex Garland, a screenwriter of films and series such as Ex Machina, Devs or Warfare. Their specialty lies in blending thrills with social commentary, as seen in their vision of a virus-stricken world.
