Le robot Atlas (source: Boston Dynamics)
The South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas a new version of the Atlas humanoid robot designed by its American subsidiary Boston Dynamics.
This robot can rotate on itself. He is capable of:
- move around while walking;
- detect objects using sensors and cameras placed on his humanoid hands;
- lift up to 50 kg.
Hyundai plans to begin deploying Atlas in U.S. auto manufacturing plants starting in 2028.
- The first robots deployed will be able to learn certain tasks using Google’s artificial intelligence.
