Expectations for Sansho Fighter
The World Wushu Sansu Cup in 2025 will be held in Jiangsu Province, China from April 5 to April 10. The Wushu Team of Vietnam participated as six martial artists, and all six sports entered the finals, winning four gold medals and two silver medals, and ranked second overall after China. So the four gold medals of the Vietnam Wushu Team will return to the next martial artists: Nguyen Tearan (48kg), Nguyo Ti Puong Nguya (Women 52kg), Dean Van Sweat (52kg), and Nguyen Ti Toi (Women 60kg). In addition, Vietnam’s Wushu team won two silver medals by Martial Arts Huin Dot (70kg man) and Nguyen Man Kuong (60kg man).
According to the Hanoi Sports Training and Gyeonggi Center (Hanoi Culture and Sports Department) and the national Wushu Team coach, Queok Bin, the recent achievement of the Wushu team in Vietnam was very encouraging. It is very difficult to win a gold medal in the competition when the levels of many players in many countries have been significantly improved. Vietnamese team players competed with tremendous efforts to achieve the best results. In particular, Hanoi Wushu, of the six athletes who participated in the competition, contains three martial arts, who won one gold medal and Nguyenman Kuon and Nguyo Teefu Nguya won two silver medals.
Vice -Van Ban, the head of the Vietnam Sports Administration (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), said that the results of Vietnam’s Wushu Team’s recent achievements in the World Wushu Sansu Cup are the result of the entire team’s efforts. Vietnamese young boxers all showed a strong will for competition and completed their mission.
Go toward a bigger goal
According to Vu Van Trung, the head of the Vietnam Sports Administration (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), Wushu is also included in SEA games and ASIAD‘s official game systems. Therefore, Vietnamese martial arts must be carefully prepared and more invested to achieve and maintain stable achievements on the continent stage. Many countries in the world (especially Asian teams) are investing a lot in martial arts, and as a result, many players have reached the world. In addition, in the upcoming 33rd Southeast Asian games, many of the strengths of Wushu, Vietnam, will not be included in the game program, which will make the medal competition more difficult.
The national Wushu Team manager, Chuok Bin, said in the early 2025 that the Uwsu team, which consists of 38 martial artists, has been focusing on fighting and performance sports, including many young players. While maintaining the current power and waiting for the performance and contents until the sequel to the previous generation, Vietnamese martial arts should rely heavily on the generations of the arithmetic content to win the gold medal in important competitions such as SEA games and Asiad.
According to a van -bin coach, if they do not focus on investing in young players right now, they will be very difficult to mature and good at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (2025) or the 20th Asiad (2026). In Hanoi, a great player must continue to secure successor. Hanoi’s martial arts training is very advanced and is higher than the general level of the country, but it still requires more tournaments. This allows many talents to be selected not only in the Hanoi martial arts team but also for the national team. “We are offering long -term training in China to gain experience and to prepare for future tasks.”
