daniel Mantovani is an internationally acclaimed Argentine writer, a Nobel laureate in Literature. Even though he has spent most of his life in Europe, his work is deeply influenced by his hometown: Salas, a fictional small town in the province of Buenos Aires.

one day, the Municipality of Salas invites him to receive the title of “Illustrious Citizen.” What begins as a nostalgic visit soon transforms into an uncomfortable, tense, and revealing experience. His return to the town that inspired his novels stirs up old resentments, envy, and underlying tensions among the residents. The party evolves into an awkward reflection of his past and his work.
