According to reports, Disney+ will be the new home for the show starting in 2027.
Sources indicate that Netflix opted not to renew the CoComelon license due to a decline in viewership. Despite the addition of four new seasons in 2024, the preschool series experienced a decrease of nearly 60% in viewership from the frist half of 2024 to the second half, according to reports.
Netflix will continue to stream the spinoff, Cocomelon Lane, as well as Spatula.
Children and family programming accounts for 15% of total streaming viewership, with shows like Sesame Street, Peppa Pig, Care Bears, and Hot Wheels Let’s Race also drawing significant audiences.
CoComelon is set in a fictional city and follows the adventures of baby JJ and his siblings as they explore kindergarten, play, and learning. The show originally launched on YouTube.
