Cho Hyun & Saudi Arabia: Deepening Economic Cooperation

[서울=뉴시스] Reporter Park Joon-ho = Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Hyun had a phone call with Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud on the 18th and discussed ways to develop relations and substantive cooperation between the two countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.

In a phone call this evening, Minister Cho emphasized that Saudi Arabia is our largest supplier of crude oil and the largest recipient of overseas construction orders, and is an essential cooperative partner for our continued economic development.

He also expressed hope that the two countries can further deepen mutually beneficial cooperation as ‘future-oriented strategic partners.’

Foreign Minister Faisal said that Korea is a key partner country in Saudi Vision 2030, and that cooperation with Korea is very important for Saudi Arabia’s continued development, and that he hopes that practical cooperation between the two countries can be further expanded in various fields through continued high-level exchanges in the future.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the two ministers agreed to meet on various occasions to discuss in more depth ways to develop relations between the two countries and to continue communicating in the future.
