According to the charges, Hon Ningho, Cham Li, Jing Chen and Brian Raymond
From September 2023, high-tech chips were illegally exported to China.
According to the Department of Justice, the three Chinese nationals and one American operated a scheme in which the chips were first shipped to third countries – Thailand and Malaysia – and from there to China.
The defendants are said to a front company was created to procure the products and they specifically took chips to China that they could not have taken according to American law. In exchange for operating the scheme received a monetary reward from their client.
The defendants allegedly managed to deliver hundreds of chips to China.
